Castle Hill RSL Special Lunch
A special lunch was also held at the Castle Hill RSL with a great afternoon had by all. We were honoured to have Mrs Olwyn Green, OAM at the event and also the senior Anzac Ambassadors who were presented with their pins.
Castle Hill RSL 2017 Anzac Day Ambassadors and Launch of Educational Kit: 4 April 2017
4 April saw the launch of the Castle Hill RSL's Anzac Day Educational Kit and announcement of the 2017 Junior Ambassadors. Special pins were presented to the new Ambassadors and an informative presentation given by Aussie Hero Quilts (and Laundry Bags). The Junior Ambassadors also gave very moving and well received speeches. A great morning tea was had by all who attended, and it was great to see many children at the event from schools within the Hills District.
Australian War Memorial visit: December 2016
In December 2016, members of the sub-Branch visited the Australian War Memorial in Canberra and attended the Last Post ceremony; laying wreaths in memory of past conflicts.
